Members say Club Pilates Progress Ridge is the best studio in town
After being active my whole life, I found myself without an outlet when I had to stop running due to injury. Club Pilates was hosting a booth at the Twilight Run that I was attending, and I was drawn in. I decided to try an intro class, and within two weeks, I knew that this was the place for me.
I have tried almost every type of class that is offered; Reformer Flow, HIIT, Control, Suspend, and Cardio Sculpt. I make it a goal to get to at least two Reformer and one cardio class every week. These are my base and give me my strength. With the Reformer, you get the best of mat and Reformer Pilates with both extra assistance and extra resistance. It is an excellent full body workout, and I love that it never gets boring! There are so many variations of every move that no two classes are ever the same. Cardio-Sculpt is like jumping on a trampoline, except better because you are laying down and can't fall - and also extra challenging because you have to land with control! It is an excellent mix of getting my heart rate up and using body-weight exercises to really sculpt and strengthen.
I have to say that my favorite class is Suspend. It is amazing. Using the TRX straps, (look them up!) the class has really helped me increase strength and tone up. I am the oddball who loves to do planks, and with Suspend, there are so many different ways to plank. It makes me feel powerful when I can support myself on my hands and do all those variations while my feet are suspended above the ground.
The instructors at Club Pilates are so valuable. They get to know you, and are in tune to what you can do well and what you can achieve, all with encouragement and expert coaching. They also are conscientious about meeting you where you are, and making modifications to keep you safe. I also absolutely love the community setting. I regularly see the same people in classes, and it's fun working on our goals together. I love it when someone new tries a more advanced class -- it's motivating for all of us! I look forward to seeing my fellow classmates and celebrate their breakthroughs as they look forward to mine, because Club Pilates truly is family.
