Keeping busy at Woodland Heights

The kids are grown and busy with their own lives and don't visit or call as often as you'd like. Maybe they even live far away. Old friends can't get around like they used to and it seems nobody sees you anymore..... Life for a senior can be lonely when living alone.

One-fourth of adults over age 65 admit to feeling isolated and lonely. It's why we hear about 9-1-1 operators fielding calls from forlorn seniors who just want to talk. And too often seniors don't want to complain or make their family feel bad that they are lonely.

At Woodland Heights, life isn't lonely for our seniors. Instead, from the moment you move here, there are neighbors, lunch and dinner mates, staff, and friends to rely on, talk to and play with. Our seniors have people to talk to, lives to share and fun to have with each other. We often hear that they wished they hadn't waited so long to move in. We love hearing that!

We have watched our dear senior residents develop close friendships, sometimes even a sweet love interest. To keep them physically, cognitively, and emotional busy, we offer games, movie night, exercise class, church services, and events to keep their calendars filled. There are activities each day.

When you live at Woodland Heights, there's no time to be sitting by the phone waiting for someone to call, they can leave a message. Call today to schedule a tour, we look forward to meeting you!
