Tigard man indicted for June 4 death of bicyclist
A Washington County Grand Jury has indicted a 19-year-old Tigard man for his role in a motor vehicle crash that killed a bicyclist in Tigard.
Joshua Anthony Jones was driving southbound on Highway 99W June 4 when he struck the bicyclist, according to Tigard police.
An investigation into the crash was conducted by the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) led by a Tigard Police traffic safety officer.
A Tigard police spokesman said Jones was taken into custody Sept. 3 by the Washington County Criminal Apprehension Team without incident and lodged in the Washington County Jail.
He was charged with second-degree manslaughter, reckless endangering and reckless driving.
