You might have noticed that parts of the Nyberg Rivers development are starting to look less like construction sites and more like actual structures.

That’s because with Cabela’s slated to open in the coming months, crews have been busy making sure this becomes a reality.

“We’re definitely on schedule for opening this fall,” said Nathan Borowski, a communications specialist for the company. “Everything is coming along pretty nicely. We still have to piece together the inside of the store and will be busy pretty much until we open the doors.”

With the schedule moving according to plan, and opening day entering the foreseeable future, the search for Cabela’s next 200 part-time and full-time employees has begun.

Most of these employees are expected to come from Tualatin and the surrounding area, and interviews for the open positions will be held June 25-28.

“Tualatin and the surrounding area offers many great opportunities for outdoor recreation,” said Kurtis Fuller, the store’s general manager. “We are looking for candidates who will provide Cabela’s legendary customer service and help customers make the most of those outdoor opportunities.”

The 100,000-square-foot location will be the second to open in Oregon after Springfield’s store, which is just over half the size. Currently, 56 Cabela’s stores are in operation, with 21 new locations scheduled to open within the next two years.

If interested in applying, applications can be found online at Go to the “Apply Now” button, select United States and Tualatin, then “Search,” and follow the instructions from there.
