The program runs Sept. 12 through May 8, 2018.

Leadership Tigard is a program of the Tigard Chamber of Commerce. The program educates and inspires rising leaders to participate in the life of the community. The first-ever cohort is meeting currently. Over the past nine months, the inaugural class has explored current issues, taken part in community and business tours, and enhanced their individual leadership skills. The culmination of the nine-month program is a community service project: for the class of 2017, that includes supporting bringing Project Homeless Connect to Tigard this fall to provide support for a vulnerable sector of the population.

Applications for the next cohort are due Aug. 25.
