COURTESY OF TIGARD POLICE DEPARTMENT - A surveillance camera caught a shot of a man wearing a hat who robbed the Tigard Astro on Tuesday. Tigard police are looking for an armed man who robbed the Astro Gas Station, 12885 S.W. Pacific Highway, at gunpoint Tuesday.

An employee reported that the incident occurred at approximatley 11:30 p.m. when the suspect approached him displaying a handgun and demanding money and cigarettes. The suspect then fled on foot after taking the victim's phone.

The suspect had a full beard, was approximately 5'10 and weighed 190 lbs. with a prominent belly and likely in his 30s. At the time, the suspect was wearing a brown fedora hat. The witness also recalled seeing a bandage on his left cheek.

Tigard officers checked the surrounding neighborhoods while a Tigard Police K-9 team conducted a search in the area but the suspect was not located.
