A 40-year-old man found inside the home was arrested in connection with the incident involving 'homicidal violence.'

COURTESY WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT - Michael Stuart Ross,Tualatin police have arrested a man in connection with the death of a 73-year-old woman who appears to have died as the result of homicidal violence Thursday evening.

The suspect is 40-year-old Michael Stuart Ross, of Tualatin. He has been charged with murder and attempted murder and is currently lodged in the Washington County Jail.

Tualatin Police took an initial call of an assault in the 17000 block of Shawnee Trail around 10:56 p.m.

When officers arrived in the area, they found a 47-year old male victim with what appeared to be serious injuries. 

He was taken to the hospital by ambulance. At the same time, officers found the deceased woman and Ross.

Jennifer Massey, public information officer for the Tualatin Police Department, said police aren't yet releasing the name of the deceased woman or the injured man, and did not immediately know if the suspect, victims were related.

The investigation is continuing and is assigned to the Washington County Major Crimes Team.
