Goodhouse to run again for Tigard City Council
Tigard City Councilor John Goodhouse announced Thursday he is running for re-election to the Tigard City Council in the November 2018 Election.
"I am running for re-election as I believe in transparency and communication with Tigard's residents," said Goodhouse. "I have made it a priority during my first four years and believe Tigard needs an active council member in the community," said Goodhouse
First elected to the council in November 2014, Goodhouse previously served on the Tigard Planning Commission as well as the Tualatin Chamber board of directors for six years and was on the Tigard Chamber of Commerce Government & Public Policy committee. In addition, he is past president of Men's VFW Auxiliary Post No. 3452.
Goodhouse lists creation of the city's first emergency reserve fund as one of the accomplishments during his tenure on the council.
"In the next four years I would like to continue to activate Downtown Tigard as a place for Tigard residents to spend their free time," he said.
The owner of an independent insurance brokerage agency, Goodhouse has lived in Tigard for 43 years.
