TriMet to host free travel training for newest bus line
TriMet has a new bus line running between Beaverton and Tigard, and is inviting the public to a free travel event next week.
The event is set for 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, at Beaverton Town Square, 11665 Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, Beaverton.
Line 42-Denney/Hall offers an alternative to congestion on Highway 217 through Washington County with weekday service between Tigard, Washington Square and Beaverton Transit Center along Hall, Scholls Ferry, Denney and Lombard. It offers connections to 17 TriMet bus lines, MAX Blue and Red lines and WES Commuter Rail. Buses on Line 42 run about every 30 minutes between 6:15 a.m. and 7 p.m.
During the travel training, trips will depart around 3:20, 4 and 5:15 p.m. Snacks will be served and a $10 Hop Card — TriMet's new electronic pass card — will be given to adults who participate.
