COURTESY WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT - Linda Bell

Update: A community member located Linda Bell near 138th Avenue and Southwest Larch Place in Beaverton. She had fallen down alongside the road and needed medical attention. The community member took her to a fire station and she was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for an elderly woman who walked away from her residence in the 17700 block of Southwest Vincent Street in Aloha Sunday afternoon.

Concerned family members reported that 76-year-old Linda Bell left her home unexpectedly around noon today and had not returned since. Her family told deputies they had been searching the neighborhood but had been unsuccessful in locating her.

Bell has been diagnosed with dementia that causes her to become easily confused, as well as other medical issues. Deputies believe she is traveling on foot with her 5-year-old black and tan German Shepherd. She does not drive or possess a cell phone.

Bell is 5-foot-2-inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has short gray hair and it is possible that she is wearing a baby blue knit sweater, khaki slacks, black slip-on shoes, and carrying a purple purse.

Washington County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue has been activated and will be canvassing the surrounding neighborhood.

The sheriff's office is asking for the public's assistance in locating Bell, asking them to call the non-emergency dispatch at 503-629-0111.
