Frank Bubenik will replace Lou Ogden who held the seat for 24 years and couldn't run again because of term limits.

SUBMITTED PHOTO - Frank BubenikTualatin Mayor-elect Frank Bubenik will be sworn in to his new seat during the next Tualatin City Council meeting on Monday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m.

The ceremony is set for 7 p.m. at the Juanita Pohl Center, 8513 S.W. Tualatin Road.

Also sworn in will be Tualatin City Council members Nancy Grimes, Bridget Brooks and Maria Reyes. An incumbent, Grimes was challenged in her bid for reelection. Brooks, a licensed clinical social worker who is studying for her real estate appraisal license, and Reyes, who is employed by the Salvation Army Cascade Division, ran unopposed.

Bubenik will be the first new Tualatin mayor in 24 years.

Mayor Lou Ogden couldn't seek reelection because of term limits approved by voters in November 2016.
