Tigard CERT classes to teach emergency/disaster response
Tigard CERT Inc. is hosting its next CERT Basic Training course beginning March 5. The CERT (an acronym for Community Emergency Response Team) course will cover basic skills residents need in case of local or regional emergency or disaster.
Those include first aid, fire-fighting and search and rescues. The seven-week course runs each Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and includes classroom instruction, hands-on practice and a final exercise putting all of your new skills into action.
For more information about the course or to register, visit tigardcert.wordpress.com/get-involved.
Tigard CERT Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is entirely managed and supported by volunteer CERT members.
