From Sept. 4 to Oct. 29, a portion of Beef Bend Road – between 146th Avenue and the Oak Mont Apartments – will be closed so workers can replace a culvert. It will be open to local traffic only.

A new single concrete arch culvert will be installed under Beef Bend Road that will replace two failing culverts, according to Washington County Department off Land Use & Transportation officials. At the same time, a section of waterline will be installed by the city of Tigard along with Clean Water Services putting in a force main sewer.

In addition, a sidewalk will be installed on the north side of the road, which will complete sidewalk connections between 146th Avenue and Westminster Drive. The project is funded through a $2.5 million Federal Highway Administration's Emergency Relief Program and the county's road fund.

Those who need assistance traveling between Myrtle and 146th avenues during this time due to mobility needs should call the Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation at 503-846-7800 for transportation help.
