COURTESY TIGARD POLICE DEPARTMENT - A woman driving under the influence of intoxicants crashed into two homes on Merilyn Court early Friday morning. A vehicle trailing sparks and flames, careened through a series of fences and struck two homes before coming to rest atop a retaining wall in the rear of a home on Merilyn Court in Tigard early this morning.

According to Tigard police, a motorist called 9-1-1 around 4 a.m. to report a driver headed eastbound along McDonald Street, who was possibly driving under the influence of intoxicants. The crash occurred a short time later.

When Tigard police arrived, the suspect fled the scene.

While no one in the two occupied homes was hurt, police searched the area and found a bloodied female about two blocks from the crash site.

Officers reported she was combative with emergency personnel trying to help her. In the end, police detained the woman who was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect, 33-year-old Davina Lyn Vongsaravanh of St. Helens, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, hit and run and three counts of criminal mischief. Additional charges may be forthcoming, police said.COURTESY TIGARD POLICE DEPARTMENT - Heres the aftermath from a car that crashed into two Merilyn Court homes Friday morning before coming to rest on a retaining wall.
