A K-9 team tracked them through the mall but they fled aboard a TriMet bus headed for Beaverton.Tigard police officers are looking for two young men who they believe tried to carjack a woman's car at gunpoint Thursday, July 2, at Washington Square Mall.

According to Tigard Police, the victim reported she was approached by the men near the JC Penney store at about 1:10 p.m., when two men pulled out a gun and tried to take her vehicle, according to a news release from the Tigard Police Department.

Unsuccessful, the men fled and police called in a K-9 tracking team to search for the suspects discovering they went back into the mall and went through another store before fleeing the area aboard a TriMet bus that was headed for the Beaverton Transit Center.

Despite an extensive search involving Tigard, Beaverton and King City police, officers were not able to immediately locate the suspects.
