Tualatin BRC offers 'Social Media for the Intimidated' webinars
Social media maven Kathy Bazan will host a free "Social Media for the Intimidated" webinar series beginning Oct. 14 and continuing every other Wednesday until Nov. 25.
A consultant in Tualatin's Business Recovery Center, Bazan, a consultant in Tualatin's Business Recovery Center, is an expert in social media and digital marketing.
"By writing vibrant content, she built a corporation's Facebook community from 0 to over 9,500 "likes" in 2 ½ years," according to news release. "In less than 10 months, she wrote enough content for the blog that it was attracting 100 free organic hits per day—potential customers found her through Google searches and became customers."
According to Bazan, the importance of moving marketing into the digital world is seen clearly by analytics that show that 90% of Yelp! users use Yelp! to choose new restaurants and 74% of web shoppers use social media to help them select what they will purchase.
Webinar topics include: Oct. 14: "Social Media 102: Weave the Best Web(site) for Your Business," Oct. 28: "Social Media 103: Blog Your Way to Business Success," Nov. 11: "Social Media 104: Facing into Facebook," and Nov. 25: "Social Media 105: eBlasts Made Easy." Each webinar is held from 7:30-9 a.m. on those listed days. Participants may sign up for as many or few workshops as you wish.
Meanwhile, a recording of "Social Media 101: Create Vibrant Content" is available by visiting YouTube.
