Monday, Nov. 23
Officers responded to a call on the 13100 block of Southwest Pacific Highway involving a man who was carrying a beer can, appeared to be intoxicated and was refusing to leave the property. He reportedly threatened to use a box cutter to cut people if they called the police. The police contacted the individual and got him to leave the property.
Officers responded to a menacing report where a man with tattoos on his neck and face accosted a man and woman near the Dollar Tree store on the 12200 block of Southwest Scholls Ferry Road and followed them to their apartment. When the male told the subject to leave them alone, the subject punched him in the face and a physical fight ensued. After the subject took out a knife, both parties fled in opposite directions.
Tuesday, Nov. 24
An officer responded to a call about a neighbor who sprayed Lysol in a resident's face, as well as her toddler's face, at an apartment complex on the 11800 block of Southwest 91st Avenue because they were not social distancing.
Officers transported a male juvenile to a local hospital under a police officer's hold after he reportedly was stabbing the wall with a knife and there was a concern for his and his family's safety.
Wednesday, Nov. 25
An officer took a road-rage report involving a driver who was followed to his destination by a male subject driving a Toyota truck. The subject exited his vehicle with a hatchet in hand and confronted the driver about cutting him off while merging onto I-5 South from Barbur Boulevard. The subject left after the verbal confrontation.
Officers arrested a woman for DUII after she crashed her sedan into two parked vehicles on the 16200 block of Southwest Pacific Highway. Her Blood Alcohol Content registered at .26%, over three times the legal limit.
Thursday, Nov. 26
Officers arrested a man for burglary and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle after investigating several car prowls in the area of Southwest 95th Avenue near Southwest Anna Belle Court.
Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 10900 block of Southwest Hall Boulevard. The subject involved had multiple arrest warrants and was taken to jail.
Friday, Nov. 27
A man was arrested for theft II – shoplift after stealing merchandise from a store in the 9300 block of Southwest Washington Square Road.
Officers responded to a three-car crash in front of Costco on Southwest Dartmouth Street. A driver hit a parked car, drove over a curb and struck a minivan.
Saturday, Nov. 28
Employees at a store in the 9400 block of Southwest Washington Square Road reported two women stealing merchandise worth $2,000. Shortly thereafter, employees at a different store in the mall reported a customer stealing $1,000 in merchandise. The investigations are ongoing.
Neighbors in the area of Southwest McDonald between Driftwood Court and 103rd Avenue reported nails being dumped in the roadway. Officers are investigating.
Sunday, Nov. 29
An officer was flagged down by a witness who saw a person smash a car windshield with a rock. Police spoke with the car owner, who believes the person responsible is known to him.
Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash where a driver reported being hit by another driver on Highway 217 who left the scene. There were no serious injuries and the investigation is open.
