Two juveniles arrested in Tigard man's murder
The Tigard Police Department has made two arrests in connection with the Jan. 29 stabbing murder of Leroy Xavier Wass-Morill.
Wass-Morill, 22, had called 9-1-1 that night to report he'd been stabbed at his apartment complex, the Silver Creek Apartments in the 11500 block of Southwest Hall Boulevard. He was unable to identify his attacker and died a short time later.
On Thursday, Tigard Police Detectives arrested a 17-year-old girl and her 16-year-old relative in the case. The motive appears to be a targeted drug-related robbery. During the course of the robbery, a physical altercation ensued, and the victim was stabbed by one of the suspects, according to Tigard police.
Because the girls are juveniles, police are not releasing their names or booking photos. They are both being lodged at the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center on charges of murder and robbery.
