Police say there is no threat to the public after the shooting in the 15000 block of Southwest 79th Avenue.

A man was discovered to have been shot and killed in Tigard early Friday morning, May 7, according to the Tigard Police Department.

Police say officers were called to a domestic disturbance involving a weapon at 12:47 a.m. Friday. They arrived at the residence in the 15000 block of Southwest 79th Avenue and found a man dead inside. The man had been shot, according to police.

The shooting is under investigation, and an autopsy will be conducted. No charges have been filed as of midday Friday. The Washington County District Attorney's Office will be reviewing the case, police say.

The name of the shooting victim has not been released.
