Tualatin Police Log: May 25-31, 2021
Tuesday, May 25
Officers took a report of criminal mischief at Tualatin Community Park on Southwest Tualatin Road. A men's bathroom, park bench and trash container were tagged with graffiti.
Officers attempted a traffic stop on Southwest Boones Ferry Road near Nasoma Lane, but the driver fled the scene. A pursuit ensued but was terminated due to the suspect driving recklessly and running red lights and stop signs.
Wednesday, May 26
Officers took a report of a car prowl at a residence in the 20000 block of Southwest 69th Street. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at Motel 6, 17950 S.W. McEwan Road. A 41-year-old woman was arrested for assault.
Thursday, May 27
Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief at Nyberg Rivers, 7663 S.W. Nyberg St. A Sharpie pen was used to tag "BLM" on a retaining wall and bike rack.
Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 19000 block of Southwest 68th Avenue. A physical fight broke out after a verbal argument.
Friday, May 28
Officers attempted a traffic stop on Southwest Martinazzi Avenue near Tualatin-Sherwood Road, but the driver failed to yield. A pursuit ensued but was terminated when conditions became too dangerous.
Saturday, May 29
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 11000 block of Southwest Tualatin Road. A 28-year-old man was arrested for strangulation and menacing.
Officers responded to a traffic crash on Southwest Grahams Ferry Road near Ibach Street. A 19-year-old man was arrested for DUII (alcohol), reckless driving, and criminal mischief after hitting mailboxes and property.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on an outstanding warrant in the 19000 block of Southwest Tualatin-Sherwood Road. He was also charged with harassment after spitting on law enforcement.
Officers arrested a 42-year-old man for arson, reckless burning, reckless endangering, and criminal mischief at the River Lofts, 18540 S.W. Boones Ferry Road, after he burned his ex-girlfriend's clothes on a stove while he was highly intoxicated.
Sunday, May 30
Officers arrested a 21-year-old woman for authorized use of a motor vehicle at Fred Meyer, 19200 S.W. Martinazzi Ave., after she was seen driving a stolen car in the parking lot.
Monday, May 31
Officers took a report of shoplifting at Best Buy, 7041 S.W. Nyberg St. Three unknown suspects stole two iPhones from the display table at the store.
