After less than eight months at the helm of the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce, its CEO has been let go.
"The Board of Directors of the Tualatin Chamber has unanimously voted to move in a new direction for the benefit of our Members and Partners," read a letter forwarded to members last week from the 11-member chamber board. "To accomplish this change, it was necessary to sever employment with our CEO, Roy Gugliotta, effective 9/30/2021. We did not arrive at this decision lightly, however, we believe that it was in the best interest of the organization and our Chamber Community."
It did not specify the circumstances regarding Gugliotta's departure.
Gugliotta was hired in January to replace outgoing chamber director Linda Moholt, who retired from the chamber on Jan. 15 after 12 years of service. He most recently worked as CEO for Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce in California, serving as both the chamber director and the city's economic development director.
