Tualatin Chamber of Commerce names interim CEO
Caitlyn Quwenikov, the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce's director of member services, has been selected as the chamber's interim chief executive officer.
"Caitlyn steps naturally into this role and will continue to lead the chamber as we move forward serving and supporting our business community," the Tualatin Chamber's board of directors stated in an announcement released Monday, Oct. 11.
The chamber let CEO Roy Gugliotta go Sept. 30 after less than eight months at the helm of the organization, saying only that they had hoped "to move in a new direction for the benefit of our members and partners." It was a decision they did not make lightly, according to the chamber board.
Quwenikov was hired by the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce in 2019 to serve as the chamber's new business developer.
Previously, Quwenikov spent almost a decade at Tualatin's Road Runner Sports. In addition, she has 12 years of management experience that includes performance development, operations management and grassroots marketing coordination.
"Caitlyn has been director of member services for two years and moving into the CEO position is a good fit for the chamber and its membership as we move forward in this time of transition," said Susan Noack, the Tualatin Chamber's board chair.
