This week's calls include: a costly break-in, a menacing mugger and a lost bumper.

Monday, Dec. 6

Officers located a missing endangered man thanks to a tip from a citizen in the 11500 block of Southwest Pacific Highway. The man was returned home safely by an officer.

A man reported his pickup truck was stolen from a parking lot in the 9500 block of Southwest Washington Square Road.

A construction site was broken into over Thanksgiving weekend and almost $15,000 worth of tools were taken in the 16100 block of Southwest Pacific Highway.

Tuesday, Dec. 7

Officers made several contacts with a woman throughout the morning after receiving multiple calls from businesses in the Tigard area about her disruptive behavior. She left the businesses when asked by officers.

A woman reported that her catalytic converter was stolen from a car in a parking lot on Southwest Hawks Beard Street overnight.

Wednesday, Dec. 8

Police responded to the area of Interstate 5 and Southwest Haines Ave for a welfare check. A man reported that he could hear a female screaming. Officers located the man who made the phone call and determined it did not happen. The man had outstanding warrants and was taken to jail.

A couple reported they were victims of a Craigslist scam. They were selling a couch, and the buyer sent a check over the purchase price and requested the overage amount be given to the moving company that was going to arrive to pick up the couch at a later date, but the check was bad.

A CPR call turned into a death investigation in the 8900 block of Southwest Commercial Street. A 77-year-old man passed away at the home. There are no signs of foul play.

In the 9700 block of Southwest Shady Lane, police responded to a report of a subject slumped in a car, partially blocking the drive-thru lane. A man in the vehicle was contacted and later determined to be under the influence. He was arrested for DUII and taken to jail.

Thursday, Dec. 9

Officers responded to a 21-year-old in crisis who was threatening self-harm near railroad scaffolding. Officers continued to talk with the woman while they coordinated with the Crisis Negotiation Unit. The woman was eventually taken to the hospital for evaluation.

A man reported that while walking to his vehicle in the 13300 block of Southwest 72nd Avenue, a man approached him, demanded he empty his pockets, threatened to shoot him and stole his car. No weapon was actually seen.

Officers responded to six different traffic crashes between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. throughout Tigard.

Friday, Dec. 10

Police responded to a hit and run in the 15600 block of Southwest 72nd Avenue. A vehicle hit several electrical boxes and knocked a metal fence off its base that sat behind the boxes. The vehicle then drove away from the location. The front bumper was left behind due to it being stuck to the fence.

A man and woman were suspected of shoplifting in the 7600 block of Southwest Dartmouth Street. Store security was able to retrieve the merchandise before the couple left the store, however they still wanted the couple trespassed from the property. Officers were able to locate the couple in their vehicle several blocks away. The man had several warrants, including one from out of state, and was taken to jail. Both were trespassed from the store.

In the 11400 block of Southwest Pacific Highway, officers responded to a fight inside a business between three or four men. The men had moved outside by the time that officers arrived. They were trespassed from the location.

Saturday, Dec. 11

Officers responded to several downed trees, light poles and standing water throughout the day.

A Jeep Cherokee SUV was stolen sometime over the last couple of days from a parking lot in the 12400 block of Southwest 72nd Avenue.

Catalytic converters were stolen from three cars, in the 7700 block of Southwest Hunziker Street, in the 9500 block of Southwest Washington Square Road and in the 7500 block of Southwest Dartmouth Street.

Sunday, Dec. 12

A woman reported her Honda CR-V was stolen sometime overnight from the 7500 block of Southwest Bonita Road.

Police responded to a hit-and-run in the 9700 block of Southwest Washington Square Road. A woman hit several vehicles while trying to park in a parking space. The woman was later located and cited.

A woman reported that she had been in a physical altercation with a man. The man left the scene prior to police arriving. He was later contacted and arrested for strangulation (domestic violence) and assault IV. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
