Guests at the June 23 event included Tigard Mayor Jason Snider, Rotary District 5100 District Governor Steve Williams and Rotary District 5100 Assistant Governor Terry Hatfield.

Rotarian Cheron Calder chaired the installation of the Peace Pole, a concept that originated with the Japanese following World War II.

Tigard has several peace poles spread out throughout the city including one in front of Tigard City Hall.
