Man indicted for sex crimes, police seek other possible victims
Sherwood police are looking for possible additional victims following the indictment of a man recently indicted by a Washington County grand jury on two felony sex crimes involving a female adult.
On Aug. 19, Harrison V. Rummerfield, 25, was indicted on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and a separate single count of commercial sex solicitation, which is a misdemeanor.
The victim reported the crimes early Aug. 8. Rummerfield, a Sherwood resident, was arrested and lodged at the Washington County Jail, where he remains in custody.
In a news release, Sherwood police reported that Rummerfield lured his victim to a hotel under false pretenses. Once there, he allegedly sexually assaulted and attempted to offer the victim money for sex, which the victim refused, according to police.
Those who may have had similar contact with Rummerfield are asked to call Sherwood police Officer James Wolfer at 503-925-7132.
