Initial results show Lueb with a significant edge, followed by John Goodhouse, in three-way race

Those show Lueb with 52.56% of the vote, followed by Councilor John Goodhouse, who had collected 29.20%. Nick Hess, who most recently ran in the crowded Oregon Republican primary for governor, was trailing at 17.96% .

Goodhouse, who has served on the Tigard City Council since 2014, owns John Goodhouse Independent Insurance Agency. Lueb who currently serves as Tigard City Council president, is head of finance at Thesis, a Portland-based digital agency. Tigard Mayor Jason Snider was not eligible for reelection based on the city's charter, which doesn't allow anyone to serve 12 consecutive years on the City Council, as Snider was first elected to the council in 2012.
