'There is hope' conference comes to Tualatin church

Rolling Hills Community Church, 3550 S.W. Borland Road, Tualatin, will host a "Mission Connexion: There is Hope" conference the weekend of Jan. 19 and 20.

The conference is a missions-focused conference featuring 100 workshops, more than 90 exhibitors and four keynote speakers. The aim behind Mission Connexion is to connect local churches and individuals to missions, to increase the number of believers that are actively serving in areas of the world's greatest needs.

Candlelight Christmas Eve at Southwest Bible Church

Southwest Bible Church,  14605 S.W. Weir Road, Beaverton, will offer two candlelight services at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24 for Christmas Ever.  There will be no morning services.

"We invite the community to join us as we celebrate Jesus Christ's first coming," Pastor Scott Gilchrist said. 

Both services will include live Christmas music performances, worship singing, the SWKIDS Christmas Choir, and a Christmas message.

Nursery care for kids 3 and younger will be available.
