Ten Tiny Dances free event is back in Beaverton July 9
The annual Ten Tiny Dances event in Beaverton is back Saturday, July 9, at Beaverton City Park.
The free event will go from 10 a.m. to noon, featuring various artists on a 4-by-4-foot stage on the lawn next to the park's new fountain.
Ten Tiny Dances will feature 10 performances from dancers, choreographers and groups representing everything from modern to traditional dance. There will be Atzec, post-modern and improvisational, Indian classical, urban flow, Afro-contemporary, Afro-Cuban, hip-hop, and Native dances, and more.
Performers and choreographers include Ritual Azteca Huitzilopochtli, Tracy Broyles, Sweta Ravisankar, akela jaffi, Jess Zoller, FaceKing, push/FOLD, Rebecca Chadd, Donna Mation and Painted Sky Northstar.
Organizers also encourage visitors to see the Beaverton City Library nearby, watch chalk artists create public art, or check out the Beaverton Farmers Market next door, which goes from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
