From 3-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, streets will be closed for trick-or-treating in the downtown blocks.

This annual Halloween tradition is organized by Sherwood Main Street, with local businesses and organizations stepping in as activity sponsors.

Nature's Pet Sherwood is sponsoring a pet photo contest, with a themed photo booth for dressed-up pets and pet owners to get the purr-fect shot.

The Sherwood Center of the Arts is teaming up with downtown businesses to sponsor window paintings that will be displayed in many windows throughout the Old Town area all month.

Participating businesses will stock up on candy to give to trick-or-treaters. Some will also open vendor booths.

The trick-or-treating area includes not only Southwest Main Street but also the Sherwood Center for the Arts parking lot and the Sherwood Public Library.
