Tigard's Gailey ties for first at girls golf event
LAKE OSWEGO — Another Three Rivers League tournament, another medalist honor for Victoria Gailey.
Although, this time, Gailey had to share the honor.
Gailey, a Tigard High School senior tied Lake Oswego's Delaney Talovic for the top score at the league tournament, held Monday at Oswego Lake Country Club. Gailey and Talovic each had a four-over-par round of 76 strokes during Monday's second league tourney of the season.
Gailey, with her 76, helped the Tigers finish in fourth place in the team standings at Monday's event with a score of 430.
Kate Cameron also had a solid day for the Tigard squad, shooting a 99. Also for the Tigers, Emma Grant carded a 122, Kate Cook shot a 133 and Caroline Williver had a score of 145.
Sherwood finished in fifth place in the team standings with a score of 452.
Sophomore Ally Plusquellec led the way for the Lady Bowmen with a round of 95, which put her in 11th place in the individual standings. Also for Sherwood, Chloe Knudson carded a 112, Camy Brinkley had a round of 122, Avery Gladheim had a 123 and Kayla Jones shot a 139.
Tualatin finished in sixth place in the team standings with a round of 476.
Senior Haley Barnard paced the Timberwolves with a score of 110. Also for Tualatin, Haley Kang shot a 111, Amber Jun had a 112 and Grace Tuzon carded a 143.
West Linn took first place in the team standings with a score of 337. Lake Oswego was second at 363 and St. Mary's Academy was fourth at 386.
The next Three Rivers League girls golf tournament will be held Tuesday at Willamette Valley Country Club in Canby.
