So, it makes sense that the Tualatin High School girls lacrosse team was well represented on the Northwest Oregon Conference all-star list.

The Timberwolves, who went 10-0 in NWOC play, in winning the conference title, had six players who were first-team selections, and eight players overall, earn all-conference honors.

Garnering first-team All-NWOC accolades for Tualatin were junior attacker Avery Gales, junior attacker Lauren Magnuson, junior midfielder Sarah Hanson, junior defender Alexis Atkinson, junior defender Skylar Maddox and senior goalie Marley Gilman.

Also for the Wolves, freshman midfielder Sidney Dering and junior midfielder Olivia Mans were both second-team all-conference picks.

For Sherwood, which finished second in the NWOC standings at 8-2, senior attacker Natalie West and senior midfielder Maeve Wiencek were each first-team all-conference selections. Also for the Lady Bowmen, senior midfielder Kelsey Deuth and senior defender Kaitlyn Hannan were both second-team all-conference picks.

Liberty senior Avery Groves was named the NWOC Player of the Year and Tualatin's Christie Mitchell was tabbed the NWOC Coach of the Year.

For Tigard, senior attacker Sabrina Spisak, senior midfielder Anna Thompson and senior defender Maysen Chesler each earned second-team All-Metro League honors.

In addition to their all-conference awards, Magnuson and Atkinson were each second-team all-state selections.
