Wolves place three on TRL girls soccer list
It was business as usual for the Tualatin High School girls soccer team during the 2018 season.
That meant plenty of success on the field, and plenty of postseason honors for the Timberwolves.
Tualatin, coming off a season that saw the team finish in a tie for the No. 5 spot in the Three Rivers League standings at 2-3-2 (9-5-2 overall), and reach the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs, was seemingly well-represented on the All-Three Rivers League team list.
The Wolves had five three players earn first-team All-Three Rivers League honors in sophomore forward Cally Togiai, junior midfielder Abby Borg and senior defender Felicity Ganzar.
Tualatin senior defender Megan Sweeney, junior defender Darci Chamberlin and junior goalkeeper Sarah Hall were each all-league honorable-mention picks.
Tigard, which went 8-7 on the season, also garnered some all-league accolades.
Tiger junior midfielder Anette Hernandez was a second-team All Three Rivers League selection. Also for Tigard, sophomore forward Lydia Emory, senior forward Gabby Brown, junior defender Logan Kennedy, junior defender Riley White and senior defender Ava Damis were all honorable-mention picks.
The rest of the All-Three Rivers League girls soccer first team included West Linn senior forward Rae Peters, West Linn senior forward Sophie Conrad, West Linn senior midfielder Calli Masters, St. Mary's senior midfielder Natalie Garci, Lakeridge sophomore midfielder Emily Bachman, West Linn junior midfielder Jill Brody, West Linn junior defender Maddy Gross, West Linn sophomore defender Cami Fulcher, St. Mary's sophomore defender Tori Snyder, Canby sophomore defender Ellie Shorter and Lakeridge freshman goalkeeper Abby Pressnell.
Pressnell was named the Three Rivers League Player of the Year and West Linn's Lauren Pyrch was tabbed the Three Rivers League Coach of the Year.
