Both squads fall in Class 6A first-round postseason games played last Thursday

But both squads saw their seasons come to a close with Class 6A first-round state playoff losses last Thursday.

The Lady Bowmen fell 38-31 to West Salem in a game played at Sherwood High School.

West Salem improved to 16-9 at that point. Sherwood ended its season with a final overall record of 13-12.

The loss marked the final high school game for Sherwood seniors Kaytlin Cooke, Alex Verkamp, Aubrie Emmons and Cali Etherington.

The Tualatin girls fell 57-41 to Jesuit in a game played at Jesuit High School.

The Crusaders, who went on to earn a spot in this week's Class 6A state tournament, improved to 20-5 at that point with the victory. The Timberwolves ended their season with a final overall record of 9-16.

The setback marked the final high school game for Tualatin seniors Taylor Rudisill, Natali Denning, Kassidy Lewis, Anna Withers and Maliyah Ross.
