The Lady Bowmen fall to first-place McMinnville in Monday's Pacific Conference match

It's said that all good things must come to an end.

That's just what happened to the Sherwood High School volleyball team.

The Lady Bowmen saw their five-match Pacific Conference winning streak end with a 25-19, 25-21, 26-24 loss against conference-leading McMinnville in a contest played Monday at McMinnville High School.

With the win, McMinnville improved to 7-1 in conference play (8-6 overall). Sherwood moved to 5-3 in conference matches (11-7 overall) with the loss, putting the Lady Bowmen in fourth place in the conference standings.

Prior to the loss at McMinnville, Sherwood posted a 22-25, 25-15, 25-21, 23-25, 15-11 win over Glencoe in a conference match played Oct. 3 at Sherwood High School. Glencoe had beaten the Lady Bowmen in the teams' first conference match, played Sept. 10 at Glencoe High School.

On Saturday, Sherwood won two of its three matches at the Glencoe tournament.

The Lady Bowmen will be back in action on Wednesday, when they host Forest Grove in a Pacific Conference match starting at 6:45 p.m. at Sherwood High School. On Tuesday, Sherwood will travel to Newberg for a 6:45 p.m. conference contest.
