Three Sherwood stars are selected to the All-Pacific Conference second team

The Bowmen battled all season long in the strong Pacific Conference. Now, some of those Sherwood players are being honored for their battle.

The Bowmen, who tied for fifth place in the final conference standings at 1-5 (3-11 overall) had five players garner all-conference accolades.

Leading the way for Sherwood were junior forward Noah Bussanich, senior midfielder Nathan Merrill and senior defender Michael Dinsdale, who each were named to the All-Pacific Conference second team.

Sherwood senior midfielder Sam Windheim and junior goalkeeper Kyle Stuckey were both all-conference honorable-mention picks.

The All-Pacific Conference first team included Liberty senior forward Jacob McDaniel, Forest Grove junior forward Antonio Cipriano, Liberty junior forward Omario Stewart, Forest Grove sophomore midfielder Abraham Alvarez, Glencoe junior midfielder Oscar Calixtro, Liberty senior midfielder Rudy Salinas-Solorio, Newberg junior midfielder Christian Morales, McMinnville sophomore midfielder Alexis Saucedo, Forest Grove senior defender Alejandro Sanchez, Newberg senior defender Max Testa, Glencoe senior defender Austin Milbrandt, Liberty senior defender Ian Bermudez and Glencoe senior goalkeeper Oscar Flores.

Other players earning all-conference honorable-mention accolades included Glencoe senior forward Alex Lopez, Century senior forward Mohamed Aden, Forest Grove junior forward David Mata, Liberty senior forward Chris Miller, Liberty sophomore midfielder Anthony Godinez, Forest Grove senior midfielder Pablo Dominguez, Newberg sophomore midfielder Carter Bass, McMinnville senior midfielder Anthony Botello, Glencoe senior midfielder Kobe Garcia, Newberg sophomore midfielder Hayden Fredrickson, McMinnville senior midfielder Hector Cisneros, Forest Grove junior defender Cesar Bucio, McMinnville senior defender Lathan Niehus, Century junior defender Erik Mancera, Forest Grove sophomore defender Jose Diaz, Glencoe junior defender Danny Calixto, Newberg junior goalkeeper Brian Lanier, Forest Grove junior goalkeeper Jorge Gaona, McMinnville senior goalkeeper Anthony Frasnelly, Century senior goalkeeper Edgar Chavez and Forest Grove junior goalkeeper Marco Torres.

McDaniel was named the Pacific Conference Player of the Year, and Liberty's Garrett Blizzard was tabbed the Pacific Conference Coach of the Year.
