Tualatin football got off to a slow start, but eventually figured out Summit in the 42-13 win.

No. 3 Tualatin High football is going to the Class 6A state semifinals for the first time since 2010 after taking down visiting No. 6 Summit 42-13 on Friday night.

After falling behind 7-6 at the end of the first quarter on a pick-six by the Storm, the Timberwolves turned on the jets and took a 27-7 lead into halftime.

Second half was more of the same as the Timberwolves explosive offense found it's footing and kept the Storm off the board on defense until a late-game touchdown when the game was already decided.

Tualatin now plays No. 2 West Linn in the 6A semifinals at noon Nov. 26 at Hillsboro Stadium. The Timberwolves beat their Three-Rivers League rival convincingly in the regular season 49-14 on Oct. 2.
