For seniors, keeping your mind sharp is important for overall health. According to a study published May 2016 by Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience, people aged 50-89 who stayed busy had better cognitive function than their less busy counter-parts. The greatest effect of busyness resulted in greater memory retention.

At Country Meadows Village, we offer numerous daily activities for you to remain socially connected with residents while sharpening your mental dexterity.

-Games-we offer numerous game and puzzle sessions throughout the week.

-Movie Night-viewing a movie with residents is a fun shared experience.

-Cardio Exercise is offered weekdays at 9:30. Start your morning off right with moving and stretching to keep your body fit.

-Music-throughout the month, we offer music entertainment such as singers, pianists, or choirs.

-Art Classes-whether crafting a birdhouse, necklace or card, we teach hands on crafts weekly. Plus, we offer art appreciation classes, too!

-Seminars-Learn more about age-related health issues, current issues, or take a seminar about a historical event. Seminars are excellent ways to improve cognitive function.

-Sunday church services are offered. Enrich your spiritual life with weekly reflection.

Keep those "senior moments" banished. By prioritizing your health, both mentally and physically, your quality of life will improve. Together, let's foster a program to help you to keep learning, while staying mentally active. Challenge your mind with activities to stimulate brain function while having fun with your community, too!
