2020 has tested us as people, as a community and as a government. Many of us are facing illness, financial insecurity and isolation. But what doesn't change is the deep desire we have as Americans to help others.

Our residents once again whipped up some philanthropic magic for the Woodburn community to help people with clothing needs. We might not be able to pay your mortgage or get the vaccine to you any quicker, but we can take one small worry off your hands.

We held a winter clothing drive with all the clothing going to Ray of Hope Thrift Shop who teamed up with another of our favorite nonprofits: Love INC. Together the collected clothes benefit families in our county. When someone comes to Love INC for help, they can access the clothes and items they need at Ray of Hope Thrift Shop and items left in the shop are sold to the public, with the funds going towards those same people and others in need.

If you have warm clothes in your closet or other items that you would like to donate please consider contacting Love INC at 503-443-6888 or www.loveinc.org.

From Country Meadows Village, we wish you all a safe and happy holiday as we close out a memorable year. Look for our programs of community involvement in the upcoming year and may 2021 treat us all a bit kinder.
