Who said you can't travel when you move into Independent or Assisted living? No one! But there is a misconception that once seniors move to a retirement community, they are hemmed in, and their lives become monotonous. It's simply not true!

Instead, we like the quote: "Traveling leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." (Ibn Battuta) At Country Meadows Village, we absolutely LOVE listening to our residents sharing their travel adventures, whether recently or 40 years ago. Travel soothes our souls, ignites our imaginations, and gives us the opportunity to experience other cultures. Our residents share stories of African safaris, Alaskan cruises, hiking in Spain, castle touring in Germany, Canadian railway adventures, Hawaiian escapes and so much more. Their apartments are filled with photos from exotic places and smiling faces.

When seniors travel now, they know what they want, and appreciate the journey. And while Covid restrictions have limited some travel, our seniors are still experiencing wonderful trips with family, friends and with group tours. And for seniors who no longer travel, sharing their past adventures brings such joy!

With 96 apartments classified as Independent Living at CMV and 40 in Assisted Living, our seniors are living their best life and that includes travel. Don't let others dictate your life, if you love travel, let's find a way to get you on your adventuring way.

Call Country Meadows Village today to start your new journey!
