One of the best parts of our job at Country Meadows Village are our resident interactions. We get to meet the most amazing people! As we near a few important holidays, Memorial Day, D-Day Remembrance and Fourth of July, we would like to take a moment to thank our CMV Veterans and our country's Veterans.

Whether at breakfast, at an event, or simply enjoying a quiet space together, our residents share their lives with us and each other. We learn about their service in World War II, Korean War, Cold War, and Vietnam War. Seminal moments in our Veterans' lives, these memories can evoke intense emotion and many of our residents find comfort of sharing their experiences. Their memories are not all terrible — many describe deep friendships and comradery. We take the time to listen and appreciate what our Veterans' have faced.

So, whether you're Navy, Army, Marine, Air Force, Coast Guard, WAC, Merchant Marine, or one of the numerous Veteran titles, we honor you today, and every day at Country Meadows Village. Without your sacrifices, our freedoms would be at risk.

If you're a Veteran and interested in community living, stop by Country Meadows Village where we can give you a tour and introduce you to our residents. Who knows, you may even find a former squaddie here. It's happened!
