Woodworking demos, quilt pattern displays, hale bale mountain and more offered at Aug. 26 event

Celebrate the 19th Century on Aug. 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. at At Champoeg State Park Heritage Area, Manson Farm Stead behind the visitor's center.

Woodworking demonstrations will be offered, along with activities. Try rhubarb sauce and mint sun tea, or make a lavender sachet or your own wooden stool.

There will be children's games to play, quilt pattern displays and a hay bale mountain that you can climb.

Admission is free with your $5 per vehicle parking fee or state pass.
