Woodburn Vision Source eyes new doctor
Woodburn Vision Source has a new optometrist on staff: Dr. Emilee Nehring, who is the daughter of Dr. Scott Nehring, the founder of the clinic.
Emilee Nehring will be specializing in pediatric care, though she has also completed training in contact lenses, ocular disease and post- and pre-operative care of refractive surgery.
She grew up in Woodburn and graduated from Canby High School in 2007. She received her bachelor's degree in pre-med from the Oregon Institute of Technology, where she was a long jumper for the school's track and field team.
She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
University's College of Optometry this year.
Emilee Nehring has traveled to both Nicaragua and Mexico on vision mission trips and works continually to improve her Spanish skills.
She serves as a chair of the organization Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association and Oregon Optometric Physicians Association.
Dr. Scott Nehring, founded Woodburn Vision Source in 1986 and remains on staff as an optometrist.
