Easter egg hunt at Legion park is Thursday, doggy treat hunt at Centennial Park is Friday

INDEPENDENT FILE PHOTO - The Easter egg hunt at Legion Park is scheduled for April 12.Easter may have been April 1, but in Woodburn, it's extended through this week, with the annual Easter egg hunt and doggy Easter treat hunt in local parks.

First up is the annual Easter egg hunt, which will take place at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at Legion Park.

Children will be released in stages according to age into the park to hunt for eggs.

They will gather 10 empty eggs and turn them in for candy and prizes.

The next day is the Doggy Easter Treat Hunt. It will take place at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 13 at the Centennial Dog Park.

Bring your four-legged friend to celebrate Easter at this annual event.

Treats will be hidden throughout the park for Fido to dig up.

Prizes for best Easter dog costume will be handed out. There will also be music and more fun.
