Three Woodburn teens, ages 16 to 18, arrested in connection with April 24 theft

COURTESY PHOTO: CITY OF WOODBURN - Police recovered a loaded semi-automatic wrapped in a bandana from a Woodburn teen, along with methamphetamine.Three Woodburn teens have been arrested in connection with a cellphone theft that reportedly occurred on April 24 in Woodburn.

Jorge Garcia-Pena, 18, and two juvenile males, ages 17 and 16, were arrested by Woodburn police officer Matt Stearns the same day as the alleged theft.

One of the juveniles was in possession of a loaded semi-automatic pistol with a 20-round magazine wrapped in a blue bandana, as well as methamphetamine. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance (meth) and a minor in possession of alcohol.

Garcia-Pena was charged with second-degree theft. The other minor was charged with second-degree theft and minor in possession of alcohol.
