Woodburn man pleads guilty to raping minor
A Woodburn man pleaded guilty May 10 to charges of first-degree rape and sodomy of a child younger than 14 years old.
Juan Santos-Gonzalez, 22, was sentenced to eight years and four months in prison.
Santos-Gonzalez was arrested by the Woodburn Police Department Jan. 14, a day after he was accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young girl, according to Marion County Circuit Court documents.
Santos-Gonzalez was initially charged with five counts, including rape, sexual abuse, sodomy and kidnapping. Three counts against him were dismissed in exchange for a guilty plea.
