Police seek help identifying white male who injured employee and escaped with cash

COURTESY WOODBURN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Suspect in Gina's Restaurant robbery.A man armed with a knife robbed Gina's Restaurant and injured a restaurant employee Thursday morning, May 24 according to a press release from the Woodburn Police Department.

WPD responded to a report of an armed robbery at approximately 9:32 a.m. at Gina's Restaurant, 1186 N. Pacific Highway, and found two victims inside. One victim received serious lacerations to her arm and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police believe the suspect was hanging around in an area behind the restaurant, Woodburn Laundromat and Les Schwab, since 7:50 that morning until the time of the robbery.

A surveillance camera captured video of the suspect moments before the robbery took place. The suspect is a white adult male in his 20's, approximately 5-foot-9-inches tall, and 180 pounds. He had medium to neck length dark brown hair and was wearing a white baseball cap with a blue or green bill, white T-shirt, dark green coveralls and light-colored shoes with dark soles.

WPD wants to know if anyone saw the suspect at any time prior to or after the armed robbery. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call 503-982-2345.
