Ages 1-18 can eat lunches for free at federally funded meal sites around northern Marion County

Woodburn School District will serve lunches for ages 1-18 on weekdays throughout the summer at select locations.

From June 25 through Aug. 1, lunch will be be provided from noon to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Legion Park, 1385 Park Ave. Woodburn Recreation and Parks Department will provide activities from 12:15 to 1 p.m.

From June 25 through Aug. 10, lunches will be served from noon to 12:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at Heritage Elementary School, 440 Parr Road, and Nuevo Amanecer, 1300 N. Second St. At Nuevo, Woodburn School District After School Club will provide activities after lunch. No activities will be provided at Heritage.

Additionally, the following sites around northern Marion County will be open throughout the summer:

• Mount Angel: St. Mary's Public School, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Gervais: Gervais Elementary School, noon to 1 p.m.; Black Walnut Community Park, noon to 1 p.m.

Hubbard: Rivenes Park, 12:30 to 1 p.m.; Sherwood Mobile Manor, 12:30 to 12:50 p.m.

Donald: Donald City Park, noon to 12:20 p.m.

No lunches will be served on the Fourth of July.

Meals are provided free of charge for ages 1-18. Adults can eat at a cost of $3.75. The program is available through the United States Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program.
