North Marion School District held back to school night Aug. 29 for incoming students in grades K-8

At the event, which was geared toward grades K-8, bond information was distributed, free hot dogs and popcorn was available, games were available for kids to play and vendor booths were set up outside the primary and intermediate schools. Booths offered free books, information on clubs or extracurricular classes and even free haircuts.

Students and parents could also visit their new classrooms and teachers.

Grades 1-12 began Wednesday, while kindergartners start on Sept. 10.
