Mobile Emergency Alert Test

Due to Hurricane Florence and emergency East Coast response efforts, FEMA has postponed their mobile 'Presidential Alert' to October 3rd at 11:18 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.

FEMA and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will conduct a test broadcast via radio, TV, cable stations, and wireless carriers. This is the first nationwide test of the wireless system. These systems ensure critical information is shared during extreme emergency situations. No action is required by the public.

Salud Harvest Carnival

Salud Medical Center is hosting a health fair at 1175 Mt. Hood Ave. on Thursdayfrom 2 to 6 p.m.

The free event will feature games, childhood immunizations, flu shots, prizes, food, and $10 sports physicals. Children getting immunizations or sports physicals must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have their immunization records on hand.

The event is free and open to the public.

Fall Fashion Frenzy

The Woodburn Premium Outlets will host its annual Fall Fashion Frenzy on Saturday, kicking off the season with a variety of activities, giveaways and shopping.

The event features live music courtesy of radio station 99.5 The Wolf, along with raffle tickets, a silent auction, a purse party, VIP shopping and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit 12 local charities.

The event goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with check-in locations at Columbia Sportswear, Tommy Hilfiger, Roz & Ali and Levis.

Nellie Muir Bingo Night

Nellie Muir Elementary School will host a Family Bingo Night fundraiser on Oct. 5

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and bingo play begins at 6 p.m. Cost is $5 per person for the evening. Concessions are available to purchase and all residents are welcome to stop by and play.
