Residents will be given the opportunity to voice their opinions on a pair of proposed statues in downtown Woodburn plaza

A public hearing to discuss a proposed bronze art sculpture installation in the Woodburn Downtown Plaza will be held Oct. 30.

The Woodburn Public Arts and Mural Committee will be holding the public hearing at 6:30 p.m. in the Woodburn City Hall Council Chambers.

The public is invited to comment at this meeting, which is at 270 Montgomery St.

The proposed piece would be a bronze statue next to the fountain in the Downtown Plaza. The statue would depict a little girl and boy holding hands like the childhood game London Bridge, accompanied by a bulldog, as a nod to the high school mascot.
